Boosterthon Gives Back
Not only does the Boosterthon Fun Run raise more money for schools, cover the costs of all expenses incurred throughout the program, and handle 100% of the logistical work that makes up the program, but the Booster Team also invests a portion of their profits to fund their non-profit organization, the 'Change The World Foundation'.
Through the Change The World Foundation, the Booster Team is able to fund company service projects each summer. In 2008, the Booster Team spent a week in the 8th and 9th wards of New Orleans, rebuilding churches and hosting block parties and Fun Runs for kids across the community. This past summer, the company spent a week partnering with various organizations in inner-city Memphis where they participated in activities such as handling yard work for underprivileged communities, buying groceries for struggling families, clearing trees and brush, and hosting block parties for the children throughout the community.
